WYSE Branches

Bowdoin College
Bowdoin WYSE started in Spring 2009 in order to address the problem of relatively low rates of college attendance in Maine.  Mentors at Bowdoin WYSE currently work with girls at Bath Middle School, because the school has a higher proportion of students failing state tests than the state average.
The branch has hosted special events with their mentees that included a visit to the Women's Health Center and campus visits to Bowdoin College.  Future plans include making the WYSE program more sustainable at Bath Middle School and partnering with a local high school.
