Annually, these mentors and mentees come together in Southern California for the WYSE National Leadership Training Conference (NLTC) which provides guidance, training and support to WYSE programs nationally. Here, the college women develop empathic mentoring techniques while learning how to effectively lead a WYSE branch; and the girls offer ideas for improving sessions while sharing what issues are most relevant to their lives. Together with their mentors, they also determine the focus for the following year's national campaign and offer their vision for the program's future.
