As unbelievable as it may seem, 2007 marks the 15th anniversary of WYSE's inception at UCLA in 1992. With the theme of "Activism and Empowerment: 15 Years of Women Creating Change," the branches, WYSE Board, and NRO are working together to celebrate this memorable landmark in WYSE Herstory.
If you are interested in helping to plan a 15th anniversary event in your region, please let us know! We also welcome any volunteers and financial support. We want to spread the word and share WYSE's great achievements with friends and supporters nationwide.

NRO News
Farewell to our former Executive Director & NRO on the Move
On behalf of the WYSE Board of Directors and our thirteen branches, we extend thanks and best wishes to Tatyanna Wilkinson as she pursues other endeavors. After volunteering in the National Resource Office (NRO) for two years, Tatyanna was hired full-time and she dedicated a year of committed service as WYSE’s National Executive Director, overseeing the NRO, branch programming and expansion, and WYSE’s image as a national organization. Though ensuring a non-profit’s stability and growth is indeed a great feat, Tatyanna tackled the challenge and worked hard to promote WYSE’s mission and vision, providing support to the branches and raising awareness about WYSE in the community.
Until the National Executive Director position is posted and filled, the NRO will be managed by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is committed to WYSE’s sustainability and national vision during this transition and are looking forward to growing WYSE for years to come. Please contact the Board at any time with questions or suggestions for WYSE, how to get involved and become active friends of WYSE.

(Cal State Northridge and Cal State Long Beach are currently inactive)
In addition, we are pleased to announce that in the fall of 2006, WYSE welcomed its thirteenth branch at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
WYSE is currently exploring expansion opportunities with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Howard University, Bowdoin University, and the University of Maryland at College Park. We hope to launch these new branches in 2008!
